There’s plenty of demand for Patek overseas
Why would they pay the tariff to enter the US market when they can serve other markets more profitably?
This is setting up a broad price increase across all new and preowned watches
Like I've been predicting
Here's why
The key watches from Audemars Piguet, Patek, Richard Mille, and Rolex that never sell used under MSRP are a good indicator of where the watch market is headed in general
Similar to the S&P 500 or the Dow, these watch brands and models are a combination of what we consider to be the liquidity of the market.
And all four brands are going to play the same game as Patek.
Will these watches be shutout of the US market?
Definitely not.
The big exporters in Hong Kong will be buying them and shipping them to the US with some margin
This is one of the many factors that leaves me convinced that the entire watch market is headed up from Hublot to everything else
The entire watch market is going to follow this pricing trend up
I’ve been saying this for 6 months now
Congrats to those of you that have been playing and are prepared to take advantage of this trend
