Watches as art, part 2

Watches as art, part 2

One thing that is becoming more common and very exciting in the watch world…

…is that more manufacturers are starting to pay attention to colors, artsiness, and movements that are beautiful.

This has been a shift in the industry lately.

Like watches as art.

And I really like that.

I think it’s a great angle for watch manufacturers.

I’m excited generally for the direction of the industry as a whole.

We’re noticing that even traditionalist watchmakers like Patek or Rolex are starting to experiment with more gemstones, more open dials, & bright colors instead of the same boring stuff

I’m very excited for what the future holds for the watch industry.

Ulysses Nardin is one brand that is doing an incredible job with this today.

Take these two examples…

Ulysse Nardin Blast Skeleton X Magma Special Edition Red Marbled

This watch is no different than a high-end racecar…ultra-light, scratch resistant, and streamlined. Like the exposed engine of a Ferrari, its magnificent technical features leave nothing to the imagination.

And then we have the Ulysse Nardin Freak X Yagasuri.

The black and white geometric dial is inspired by the Japanese "Yagasuri" pattern, highlighting the flying carousel complication that exemplifies its avant-garde and dynamic design.

Both of these watches are crazy, they’re hot, and excellent pieces to park your money.

Just like a piece of art.

Yes, watches as art

I’m 100% in.
