I did get these Nike x Tom Sachs Marsyard Overshoes as a consolation prize.

Back when sneaker x watch pairings were my thing, these Nike's paired with the Omega x Swatch Mission to Mars were too perfect. I literally thought this pairing idea would launch me to stardom.

It's even the pairing that inspired the name TimelySoles.

I loved the combo so much that I wore them with a space suit at a big Manhattan watch event to roll out the brand.

I don't really wear them anymore. I think they're a piece of art, so I keep them as a centerpiece in my office.

One, because I'm a sneakerhead.

Two, because they're a reminder of the entrepreneurship journey and the failures that still make me smile.
