I talk to guys every day who can't stomach paying above MSRP and think they're ready to play the 'wait list' game.
I tell them to rethink the purchase. Because they're not getting it at retail. Hardly anyone is.
And here's what a lot of guys don't get.
When you buy at that price in the secondary market, you're parking capital into the watch. The value is preserved, predictable, and will appreciate slowly as Rolex keeps raising MSRPs.
Now my client has his dream watch. An asset on his wrist. A business networking tool. And a piece of wearable art...
...because the fluted bezel on jubilee with that green dial is fire.
Life is too short. Buy the watch.
