Right now you’re seeing a lot of the good models start to disappear
Dealers are going to start marking them up
Is this a lasting situation?
I think we’re in very uncharted territory
Similar to post covid
Where we saw supply and demand curves being completely destroyed by a lot of bizarre things going on
And market manipulation in luxury watches
I don’t think we’re going to see manipulation
I think we’re going to see a real scarcity of supply in the market
There’s a significant demand for watches right now
I’ve seen more watches get sold in the last 60 days than the previous five months combined
There’s a heightened level of demand.
And a good opportunity to get premium numbers
I'm seeing dealers pay full retail money on Panerai and Hublot
To just put them in inventory.
This is absolutely wild
So why are they doing it?
Because they’re out of Rolex to buy....so they’re stocking other stuff
Stuff they normally wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole
Cartier has gone up, Panerai has gone up, Hublot is trending nicely up
What more do you need to see to understand where this market’s going?
